Staying healthy with Bert & Bratt – Giveaway! CLOSED

January 7, 2014

Do you ever see a product on a store shelf or website,  and think to yourself, ” I totally invented that in my head last year!” I had one of those moments recently with the Bert and Bratt owl sterilizer.
My house is pacifier friendly. Both my youngest and my middle child are almost constantly attached to what we affectionately refer to as ” The Cork”.  One problem that we are constantly presented with as a result, is properly cleaning them while on the go.

My usual method, is to just carry around an army of pacifiers, but that gets annoying, and if i accidentally forget to replace my depleted supply it can mean a huge public meltdown.  I’m not proud of it, but I’ve even resorted to cleaning: dropped pacifiers in lukewarm water and hand soap from a public bathroom.  I cannot count how many times I’ve thought to myself, I need to invent a sterilizer that can be carried around in a diaper bag or purse.  Apparently someone was listening because today I am writing to you about just that, a sterilizer that fits in your purse and runs on three AAA batteries.

Small but powerful, this sterilizer uses UV light to kill 99.9% of harmful germs and bacteria in 4 minutes, with the push of a button.

Bert&Bratt products have a small UVGI light that kills germs using a dual-action process. The oxygen in the air reacts with a range of 254 nm wavelengths creating ozone to safely eliminate up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria. The only by-product of this process is oxygen, leaving the pacifier without any residue or harmful bacteria. Simply push and hold button until light flashes.  When flashing has stopped, sterilization has occurred. It breaks down bacteria and exposes the DNA/RNA, quickly destroying the cell.
UV light is often used in hospitals to sterilize equipment as well as to remove germs from water and air.
Simple yet effective.

Its small but big enough to fit pacifiers, small teething toys or bottle nipples. Not to mention its so cute that my daughters keep trying to play with it!

And the best part of all? I have one to give away.
