Me and the hubby recently had a chance to escape from the little for a long weekend of fun in Orlando. Of course the first stop on our list was Universal Studios! We went with the whole fam last time we were in Florida, but with me being pregnant, and having 3 small children in tow, we really didn’t feel like we had made the most of the iconic park.
This time around though, we took no prisoners. Here are my best tips for seeing, eating, and doing every MUST at Universal Studios Orlando
Know the Wait Times
Some rides are going to have crazy long lines, and they don’t all have a Fast Pass Option, so make sure you head to those straight out of the gate. The earlier you get there, the shorter the wait times, so have a plan of where you want to head to first. The Universal Studios app is a great tool to help you avoid lines.
Bask In The Nostalgia
Universal is an amazing mix of movies you remember from your childhood and all the newest hits. I don’t even want to admit how many times I rode the ET ride, and screamed as the T-Rex came after us in the River Ride. It was like everything I loved about my childhood had been turned into a ride.
All of the rides at Universal Studios are amazing, but some are down right terrifying! Get your heart beating faster with The Rip Tide Rockit, The Dr Doom Fearfall, and the Hulk to name a few.
Feel free to be a Kid
If you want to ride the minions ride ten times then do it, I am not at all ashamed about how hard I geeked out in Seuss World, that place is amazing! and who doesn’t love a circus?
From Lard Lad Donuts and Duff Beer in The Simpsons Land to Fine Asian Dining at Emerils Tchoup Chop and everything in between, its easy to eat your way through Universal. I particularly enjoy eating in The City Walk ( shout out to Bubba Gump Shrimp) because there is so much variety that you’re going to find something for everyone.
